To stay abreast of the current trends in the culinary arts, Occasional Occasions by Carlton attends annual events and remains an active member of the following associations.
The American Culinary Federation (ACF) is a professional organization for chefs and cooks which was founded in 1929 in New York City by three chefs’ organizations: the Société Culinaire Philanthropique, the Vatel Club and the Chefs de Cuisine Association of America. Since its inception, little has changed in the principal goals. It is an organization based on promoting the professional image of American chefs worldwide through education of culinarians at all levels.
The International Caterers Association (ICA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, mentoring and resources for professional caterers and promoting the profession of catering to clients, industry members, vendors and the public.
Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) is the liaison between meeting planners, tour operators and its 1,200-plus member organizations. The Bureau positions Atlanta as the leading destination for conventions and tourism through aggressive sales and marketing programs. ACVB's efforts support Atlanta's $11 billion hospitality industry, sustaining 230,000 jobs for metro Atlantans and generating 37 million visitors each year.
